Thanks to a Japanese television show, we have a new answer to the chicken/egg dilemma.
In the video below, high school students – yes, high school students – are able to grow and birth a chicken embryo without a shell. Incredible!
Amazingly, the students succeeded, managing to separate the yoke and fluid from the shell, incubate the embryo, and eventually birth a live bird. Though I don’t speak Japanese, the look of astonishment is clear on the hosts’ faces.
